Welcome to Little Miracles Child Care Centre
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for the interest in enrolling your child in my program. I hope I can provide all the love and attention you could possibly want for your child. All of the children I care for are treated as one of my own and I hope that everyone feels like part of our family.
A bit about myself and my program. I have over 30 years of experience caring for children, starting at the age of 9 when I first babysat my 2 brothers, numerous cousins and neighbors children.
I have volunteered at Queen Alexandra, Glendale, Jubilee and Victoria General Hospitals, where I also worked with children. In many of these places I gained experience on how to interact and help support families going through a difficult time and I learned how to properly feed and care for children, many who had special needs and I experienced the joy that comes after spending time with these incredible children. I was also part of the entertainment committee and helped plan various children's sports activities.
I've worked as a Nanny both privately and with an agency and had the pleasure of caring for children who were visiting from far away and staying with their parents at the now closed Aerie Resort.
My training and education has spanned over 20 years with numerous Child Care related Courses and Workshops and some ECE Training.
The reason I began providing Daycare in my home was because (as you can see from my experience) that I truly enjoy working with children. Opening a Daycare also allows me to help supplement our family's income, but it is not the main reason I first started.
It is very important to me that everyone read & understand my polices and procedures so there is no miscommunication. They help to make my program safe and satisfactory to all. Please read my handbook carefully and keep it for future use. Most of the handbook can be found on this site.
Because I have my own family to consider, it is important that parents/guardians respect my hours of operation, sick policy and need for prompt monthly fee payments. It is also very important that we are in agreement about my policies regarding vacations, holidays and other absences.
I truly hope that you will be comfortable talking to me about any area with which you feel you will not be able to comply. I would also appreciate you advising me of any important changes in your family life which may affect your little one's adjustment to the centre.
Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding anything here or in my handbook, please contact me any time.
My objective is to keep Parents/Guardians fully informed of the functions and management of this Centre.
The Centre operates fully within the mandates and regulations set out by Child Care Licensing Regulations and the Community Care Facilities Act. The Centre will adopt future regulations in order to maintain a high quality Child Care Facility.
The Centre is also a member of the Child Care Resource and Referral Program and operates under their suggested guidelines. You can contact them at 250-642-5152 or visit their website.
