WITHDRAWAL AND TERMINATION

WITHDRAWAL AND TERMINATION

The Parent/Guardian/Caregiver Contract may be terminated at anytime for any reason, by either party with at least a 30 days written notice, which must be received in person to the other party, according to the contract.  Termination Notices are due on the first of the month.  Either party does not need to give a reason for termination if they so choose, but for courtesies sake it is preferred.

Examples of why I would terminate your child's care include (but may not be limited to):

* We decide to move (HIGHLY, HIGHLY unlikely, unless we win the lottery. We plan on staying here for many, many years to come).
* Failure of Parent/Guardian to pay
* Consistently Late Payments
* Failure to complete required forms before enrollment start date
* Lack of parental cooperation with holiday, sickness or other policies
* Consistently Late Pick ups
* Failure of child to adjust to the Centre after a reasonable amount of time
* Caregivers inability to meet the child's special needs
* Inappropriate talk/behaviour by a Parent/Guardian or Child
* Child's behavior is a safety issue to the other children in care and/or the Caregiver

In the extenuating circumstances of a child becoming violent, aggressive, overly rude or non-compliant or in any way jeopardizing the safety of the other children and/or Caregiver, then the child will need to be removed from the Centre immediately.  The Caregiver will first contact the Parent/Guardian, if they are unreachable the next emergency contact person will be called.  The continued enrollment of the child will be reviewed before re-entering the Centre.  It is up to the Caregivers discretion on whether the child will remain enrolled.  The Caregiver has a right to give as little as one day notice in such instances to protect all parties involved.

The Caregiver will not give a refund for any days left in the month in which a quick termination has been executed.  In this circumstance the Caregiver has a responsibility to report any violent or inappropriate behaviour by a child to the Ministry of Children and Family Services to make sure the child receives the appropriate support help needed. In some cases, funding is only available until the age of 5 after age 5, it is paid by the Parent/Guardian, so getting a referral early is extremely important.
