What the Daycare Supplies:

- Matching Daycare hat and t-shirt for field trips, cutlery, snack bowl, plate and sippy/cup.  All sippy cups are BPA Free and each child will have their own.  You're welcome to supply your own cutlery, dishes and cups.

- If your child naps, I will supply all sheets and blankets, they will be washed at least once per week.  You're welcome to supply an additional blanket from home.

Parents please send your child dressed for play.  "Good" clothes are not appropriate and hard to play in.  I do take precautions when the children are working with messy materials, however accidents do happen.  Clothes that are easy for your child to manage independently are suitable.  Clasping overalls are often too difficult for children toilet training to manage successfully.  Basic elastic pants are recommended.

Parents/Guardians, please refrain from dressing your little girls/boys in dresses or skirts or dress shoes as they can not thoroughly enjoy their play time.  They make play difficult on equipment and can get caught in moving parts.  Dress shoes can be very slippery on play surfaces and make climbing impossible.  Please keep in mind that I supply many different dress up items for your child to wear for imaginative play, so they will not be restricted at all.

EMERGENCY KIT LIST:

- a picture of their family
- picture of authorized alternate pick up persons
- a reassuring note from Parents/Guardians
- a small stuffed animal

To this kit I will be adding:

- a dust mask
- thermal blanket
- juice box
- water bottle
- granola or fruit bar

This kit will be put in our larger Earthquake Supply Box, which contains many other items that we may need in an emergency.  If you have any questions regarding this box, please contact me.

If your child is not taking part in my Healthy Lunch/Snack Program:

- A nutritious lunch, snacks and milk/formula/breast milk, (please consider: Is there adequate food for the entire day?  Do they promote healthy habits?  Are there foods from all food groups?

I believe nutritional snacks and lunch enable a child to function to the best of their ability.  Teaching children proper nutrition at a young age will help them develop into healthy adults.

If you are sending food to be reheated, please make sure they are in a sealed microsafe container so toxins do not leach into their food, as well, some containers may explode or melt if they are not micro-safe.

Please make sure all food sent has low preparation so that all the children can eat together.

Children are seated at the table in the kitchen for lunch, snacks and drinks.  This provides an excellent time for the children to socialize with their friends.  I will assist little ones with lunch and snacks and encourage positive socializing with all the children.

Water is always supplies at all times, not just during snacks and lunch.  A few times a month I will also supply 100% Veggie/Fruit Juice.  Juice is very high in sugar, even the 100% kind, so I try to keep it a bit watered down and at a minimum.  Juice can also destroy a child's appetite and cause tooth decay so please try to refrain from sending any for your child, please save it for the car ride home.

You will be notified if there are children with any allergies, in these cases I ask that you do not send any of the items to protect the child from having a severe anaphylactic reaction.

Thank you!
